Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!

Dining Car

Situated above the kitchen the dining car has a large wooden table stretching the length of the carriage. Two long wooden benches run either side of it. At meal times it is inevitably crowded, chaotic and noisy without a doubt.

Try not to jostle your fellow diners as you navigate inter-universe table manners. Or is waiting better? Eating before or after everyone else so that you can eat in relative peace an entire table length from the next nearest person.

Or are you the rebel who starts a food fight?

Chores

Chores are part of life on board the Voidtrecker Express. Each team is assigned a task each month: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms, cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas, laundry and cooking.

Obviously the only thing enforcing these chores in a passengers own conscience and their fellow travellers.

Are you diligent or do you shirk? Do you try swapping your tasks with someone else? Or just outright bribing someone to do your work for you? Work together to get the task done or try and persuade a lazy team member to pull their weight.

Snow Way!

In a small village a copy-cat of the supervillain Professor Chill has struck! She has no weather machine but holds the same ability to control snow- and seems to be using natural winter to attack the village.

Team One

The village is being attacked by snowmen and ice golems. Magically animated ice creatures that attack with sticks and claws. Protect the village by fighting off the snow creatures!

Team Two

Many of the village have tried to escape through a mountain pass. Go and help them evacuate. Fend off monsters, carry children or luggage. Help the villagers through the snowdrifts.

Team Three

Our villain seems as fond of puns as her predecessor and finding her is made either easier or harder by the trail of clues left by her. Clues consist of puns, ice riddles and snow facts. Solve the clues and track her down to bring her to justice.

Snowball fight!

Of course once the monsters and villain have been defeated there is some time to have fun in the snow. If anyone can stand the sight of it any more. Snowballs, snow angels and snowmen (the non animated kind) are yours for the making.

"You might want to head a bit more to the west," comes a voice out of the blizzard, completely nonchalant.

Loki appears right after, a slight smile on his face, his arm pointing in that direction. "Others have already cleared the way and there is shelter from the elements." Though it doesn't look that way, as Loki seems to be pointing towards a cliff face.

Thor almost tripped at that voice.

"Loki? Do you now haunt me in my hours of need?" He sighed. But he turned toward the mountain side. "If this is one of your tricks, brother..."

Loki's smile shifts a little, almost into a frown, before he recovers and hides the sign of his confusion. "Haunt you? That is an odd way of describing it. I thought you welcomed my help."

He waves a hand and the cliff briefly changes, showing a gorge cutting through it. Then the image of the unbroken rock face reappears. "Of course it is a trick," Loki says with a wink.

Thor squints at Loki. He considers this being, and then he remembers what he has been told.

And he swears. A lot.

But he keeps moving toward the Gorge.

"I think we may need to talk, Brother, once the villagers are safe. This train sometimes pulls people in form different possibilities."

Loki alive? It makes Thor giddy, and hurts all the more, as well.

Now the frown returns and doesn't entirely fade away. "That... might be best. We do always seem to appreciate a good talk whenever we reunite."

He turns to watch both the village battle and the gorge mouth at the same time. "I suppose I am on watch, according to others, so I will remain here for a time. I am told there is another not too far within who will guide and escort the mortals." He leaves the I will watch for your return unsaid.

That statement even more convinces Thor that this is not 'his' Loki. They appreciate talks??? They?

"Then I will be back as soon as they are in their new protector's hands, to stand with you."

He nodded, and moved with the people, smiling a touch more, his heart daring to leap for hope, even as his head hurt.

Some time later, he was back, tracking out to the Loki, and bringing a basket from the villagers.

"Brother, the village sends their thanks and food to keep you warm."

That gets a mischievous grin from Loki. "Ah, one of the drawbacks of being on watch, I cannot receive their appreciation for saving them in person." It's his favorite part of the whole heroing thing and usually the main reason he participates.

"So, I assume you are surprised to find me here? Well, I did not expect to see you here, either, unless this is your Midgard and you heard this village required aid. Or perhaps you had followed Doctor Foster as she studied some phenomenon out at the ends of the world."

"I am, and this is not. I came via the train, and... I am fairly sure we are not from the same universe, brother."

He feels a sadness at that, and yet the chance to meet and know a Loki who he can alk to... it is like a dream.

"I have missed you."

Loki sighs. "I should pay more attention to who comes and goes on the train. While this was a pleasant surprise, I am afraid I do have my fair share of enemies and I would not like to be taken unaware should one of them arrive."

His face and tone grow serious now. "I should not be surprised that you are not from the same universe as I. I have met a few of your Midgardian friends here, and they seem to hold a grudge against me for something I did not do, and they all seem to believe I committed the same acts. It would be too much to hope that you would be from the reality I am from, rather than theirs."

He looks deep into Thor's eyes. "Why have you missed me? The Thor I know always says that, when I visit him, yet I know he does not doubt that I will return. But you... you never expected to see me again. Why? What do you believe has become of me?"

Thor sighs as he takes a seat on a rock, looking out into the snow, his hand near to the hammer that sits on his hip.

"Because you died, brother, or so I assumed. You, or the you that is in my universe, fell into the abyss below Asgard, after I destroyed the Bifrost in the attempt to stop the annihilation of the Jotuns."

He does not say that his Loki had been the one trying to do that. Another day, perhaps.

Loki can't suppress the shudder he gets at being reminded of that. "I... experienced that as well. I lived, though I did not expect to, and returned to the Nine Realms before too long." He gives a bitter smile. "I believe it was my return, despite all expectations, that convinced the Thor I know that I will never truly die and will always come back. I confess, I do not entirely share his confidence in my abilities, but I do my best to live up to them."

There's a lot of genuine affection in Loki's words. Getting Thor's approval- without the old condescension- meant a lot to Loki at the time and still does.
