Test Drive Meme 009
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Dining Car
Situated above the kitchen the dining car has a large wooden table stretching the length of the carriage. Two long wooden benches run either side of it. At meal times it is inevitably crowded, chaotic and noisy without a doubt.
Try not to jostle your fellow diners as you navigate inter-universe table manners. Or is waiting better? Eating before or after everyone else so that you can eat in relative peace an entire table length from the next nearest person.
Or are you the rebel who starts a food fight?
Chores
Chores are part of life on board the Voidtrecker Express. Each team is assigned a task each month: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms, cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas, laundry and cooking.
Obviously the only thing enforcing these chores in a passengers own conscience and their fellow travellers.
Are you diligent or do you shirk? Do you try swapping your tasks with someone else? Or just outright bribing someone to do your work for you? Work together to get the task done or try and persuade a lazy team member to pull their weight.
Snow Way!
In a small village a copy-cat of the supervillain Professor Chill has struck! She has no weather machine but holds the same ability to control snow- and seems to be using natural winter to attack the village.
Team One
The village is being attacked by snowmen and ice golems. Magically animated ice creatures that attack with sticks and claws. Protect the village by fighting off the snow creatures!
Team Two
Many of the village have tried to escape through a mountain pass. Go and help them evacuate. Fend off monsters, carry children or luggage. Help the villagers through the snowdrifts.
Team Three
Our villain seems as fond of puns as her predecessor and finding her is made either easier or harder by the trail of clues left by her. Clues consist of puns, ice riddles and snow facts. Solve the clues and track her down to bring her to justice.
Snowball fight!
Of course once the monsters and villain have been defeated there is some time to have fun in the snow. If anyone can stand the sight of it any more. Snowballs, snow angels and snowmen (the non animated kind) are yours for the making.
Have fun!

He stood up straighter at the tone, and Thor's rising but didn't flinch. If this turned to blows, it wouldn't be the first time they'd fought, not by any means. It couldn't even be said they hadn't fought recently. None living or dead would be surprised at the instance, but that didn't mean he was going to wait for it unprepared.
"Isn't this where you throw a fruit or your dinner goblet at my head to prove I'm real? Did you lose your sense of humor when you let me fall?" Some wounds had never healed, others had been flayed open over and over again, and still more were reopened by the impetuousness of this...this previous Thor, the man who'd always reminded Loki of his place, silenced him, interrupted him, overshadowed him without an effort. Even Loki was surprised that rage still boiled inside him, but there it was, threatening to choke him if he didn't vent it.
"I am Loki of Asgard. Odinson." He set his jaw in a hard line but didn't stand down. "Rightful King of Jotunheim and God of Mischief. Did you really think you'd be rid of me so easily?"

"You let yourself fall! Rather than admit you had done something that was not okay! You let your pride, once again, get in the way! You flung yourself into the abyss while two loving members of your family watched in horror! No one let you fall, Loki. You chose to jump!"
The answer was palpable, and the hurt real.
"You somehow decided, for whatever reason, that I was your enemy, that you had to outdo me, had to hurt people, even kill them, to get your way. And when you fell, despite all of that, I still mourned you, still loved you. Fool, I, if this is how you speak of the moment. Of me." Tears streamed down his face as he spoke.
At Loki's last words, Thor shook his head.
"You damned fool. I wanted you to be there alongside me, always." And he stepped in, and unless stopped, hugged Loki, the brother he loved, and the brother he had thought forever lost. Was this a dream? He did not care, nor did he care if all the wordl was staring.
Loki was there. Thank the Gods below, and damn them, too.

When he spoke, his voice was thick with the emotion choking him, and he was younger again, the wounds raw once again, and aching. "It wasn't pride." Never pride. It was the crushed soul of a boy who'd only ever wanted his father to look on him the way he looked on his brother. It was the realization that he never would. It was betrayal and anguish, and a deep loathing for what he'd been all along. "You know nothing, Thor. Not," he swallowed the pain causing his voice to crack and when he continued, it was clearer. "Not of me, not of my motivations. Nothing."
And he'd never asked. Not after Earth, not in the years following, and that ached the most keenly. He stiffened on Thor's embrace but patted the larger man's shoulder fondly. "There, there. Enough of that."

He was shaking as he shouted. "I loved you, and would have gone to war against any who so much as hurt you, but you---"
He turned from Loki then and walked away, pacing, angry, hurt, lost, and shaking almost. he faced away from his brother, hands clenched, eyes tearing up, hurting like he has not since that moment he realized what Loki was doing. Even if it is clean, now, he knows nothing of this brother who he has loved.
"I am sorry you hurt so, I am sorry I did something that made you hate me so, or need to hurt me so. But I never pushed you to act so, and you still betrayed me. And even then, I tried to save you and..." The air was cold and growing colder, and wetter and the air was swirling around Thor, now, not reaching out to Loki, but just around Thor, battering him.

He clasped his hands in front of himself, his voice even, soft, patient. If there was one thing in this life he'd grown accustomed to, it was his brother's anger. He looked around as the storm rose, frowning.
"You can't even begin to understand how much it hurt to know that our father allowed his people to grow up believing all frost giants were monsters, knowing full well the son who looked up to him as a beacon of strength and power was one of them. He let me-" He clenched his jaw, shaking his head.
When he spoke again, his voice was low, barely above a whisper. "I sent father's Destroyer because I was sure you'd kill me when you learned the truth. You were quite bent on all of Jotunheim fearing you as they once did Odin."

Thor shook as he turned to the man, and sighed. "You are and were one of the smartest and strongest people I ever knew. I kept you close to me because I always knew that. I was proud, and young, and foolish in my words, always, and rarely listened, but I never had, or would, have raised a hand truly against you. That you believed, ever, that I could? I am sorry, Loki. Sorry that we both were such idiots."
And, unable to stomach eating any more, or hearing any more, he turned, and walked away. As he did, he spoke one more time.
"Another day, let us talk again. But, I cannot be your excuse. And I will not."
