Wrong journal but Yuffie is 100% down for this. She wants to keep her skills sharp! Also to defeat Edge that cheating cheater, who is too cute for his own good. Naminé is training with Dread but she's like a little baby trying to throw a punch lol.

Oh that would be fun! I might at some point do a training post up for Naminé just because I feel like it'd be the cutest thing ever and I've wanted to do something like that since I started playing her lol.

Yuffie and Lightning having acrobatic fights would be fun. I feel like Light will probably like her more when she realizes that Yuff is actually competent despite her dramatic attitude.

Lightning knows how to use a truly unnerving number of weapon types but she's always up to improve, so if you have a weapon on the train that isn't, idk, soul-bonded to you or a great heirloom or your father's own sword or wevs she's going to ask to train with it.

Otherwise she's working on hand-to-hand or acrobatics or standard monster-fighting or nonlethal humanoid takedowns. Or all of the above at once.

She honestly doesn't mention it much, she just gets on with practicing with what she has. But she definitely sends longing looks towards the people with guns or swords.

If she doesn't know fighting with acupuncture needles yet, Wen Qing will be willing to teach her once they have some CR.

Creed shows up and punches people, though he usually pulls his punches not wanting to actually hurt anyone. Give him time, he'll get there.

Punch Piccolo, he has super strength and eventually Vic needs to find out Picc has regenerative abilities, too.

47 has been around and participating in this about since he arrived. He mostly prefers to practice certain skill sets alone or spar with individuals (Lightning, Prisoner, maybe Dread, anyone else game? they just have to ask) but occasionally he'll watch others train. Not really interested in teaching others but he could be coaxed into it and would probably be fairly decent at it if not entirely personable or lenient. May occasionally give advice for a technique if someone is practicing without a teacher present.

If weaponry training ever becomes a thing somehow, he'd be best at that, especially guns and artillery. He could teach that if only they had access to such things. Alas. (Knife fighting he could do. Maybe stealth if someone on Red Team brought it up.)


Piccolo is new here but already found the Gym car to be a good place to practice with others when he's feeling social. He could easily be convinced to become a teacher since he...kinda (not so) secretly likes to train others. If the train and cr allows it I'd be completely up for him teaching ki techniques based off DB mechanics to cross canon cr around the train. Basic martial arts training is fine, too, he can/would start with that. He'd also introduce meditation to martial artists who do not already practice it and it would be an intricate part of his training.

Light would definitely approach him about stealth training, she's not had any real practice with that. And maybe drag Buttercup along because the kid insists on sneaking around and trying for backstabs, so she might as well get really good at it.

I just thought about this but... if anyone is complaining too loudly about lacking a weapon they're used to fighting with... Piccolo might just make one for them. Instantly. Because magic. Um. It's only to shut them up, really. It's not like...he cares... or anything.... harumph.

EDIT: These are permanent additions to the train. Anything he creates lasts as long as the item would normally unless he magics it back out of existence.

Cal: Shows up for light sparring. He's good with hand-to-hand? Get a staff in his hand, though, and step back. He's trained in dual-wielding, and his lightsaber can split in two or be used as one. Come at him, fam.

Gwen: She's a dirty fighter, and I'm not sorry. She'll use all her spider tricks, part of her spider strength. I just really want a BTVS moment where someone goes "Don't hold back" and she accidentally kicks them to the other side of the gym carriage. Only she'll be like "So do I keep not holding back or...?"

Evie: Swordfighter. Come at her. She will teach. She is willing to be taught. Also probably scrappy because Isle Life.

Piccolo would be willing to spar with a Jedi; he's curious about them because I imagine he can sense their Force capability with his ki sense. As for Gwen if she needs a non-spider to spar with without holding back Piccolo is a good choice for that, too.

Alternatively, 47 could do the BTVS moment without complaint. Problem is he'd say "no, don't hold back" even though she just threw him across the room and he can't do the same back (at least not with that kinda force!). He...doesn't like punishment but would prefer to learn how to fight against supers without wondering if they're just holding off on him. He could also duel with Evie if she has an extra sword.

Wei Wuxian is only now going back to the gym in the mornings XD Like....5/6am and training, but he pretty much will ignore everyone else other than enough to keep out of their way unless someone pokes at him.

Martial arts and gen strengthening exercises.

Thea's an archer but knows hand to hand. She'll spar with people.

Jessie however is a brawler/creative weapons and is up for sparring.
