Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.

[Tony had taken a break from doing most of these this month, but he just happened to be in his office when Rose came in to drop off her survey. He glanced over it and gestured toward the other side of the booth where a spot was cleared on the seat.]

You were on patrol for what? Aliens?

While aliens and the paranormal were our usual area, we were supporting the traditional military.

Ah, I see. So, you're obviously involved in some kind of militant background, correct? Tell me about it.

[That earned him a flat stare because military was not the same as militant.]

I worked for the government in the branch of the security services specializing in aliens, temporal disturbances, and anything else that was too strange for the rest to handle. Mostly as a field agent, sometimes in R&D. Then I commandeered a military unit for a project about 2 years ago. When that was done, I formally joined up. That was six months ago.
