Train Questionnaire

Thanks for participating but to protect my sanity, no more questionnaires will be accepted.

Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.
Please fill it out and deliver it to me, Tony Stark. You'll most likely find me in my lab (aka, the quiet room that has a lock, a 'keep out' sign, and glass painted).

[ooc: Just fyi, Tony *will* comment on something about your answers when you hand in your answers IC. I've checked with the mod and these can count toward bonus threads, etc. Also, it's very common that people lie on these forms. Fill them out as your character would IC please.]

*** Update *** I've recruited a few more people to help with these so you all can get a response faster and spare my sanity. If you have a preference between Tony, Feanor, Ignis, and Gladio. This group might be referenced to as the Welcome Committee before too long.

[Who would have thought? Then she has met her match. Different stages of irritated is Fëanor's default mode too. There are just so many things that inconvenience him in this place. If he decided to write them all down the list would have been longer than the train itself.

He gets her a new piece of paper.]

Just describe as much as you can here. I'd pass it to lady Wen myself. [She might need help with deciphering those scribbles. The train's resident doctor is a formidable woman but she's no psychic.]

I doubt anyone would try.

Fine. [ She really doesn't feel like arguing over whitecoats. She doesn't trust them, any of them, except for Silence and the Doctor.

She kind of snatches the paper and goes off to write. She doesn't actually... LEAVE leave. She just finds a corner of the car to hunker down and write down what she knows.

It takes her....... honestly a while. She honestly has trouble with writing, that much is obvious. She also has trouble working through a good description in her head. She lives with Oripathy, but she leaves all the science and medical stuff to Silence.

Eventually, the sheet finds its way back to Fëanor. The writing on it is sloppy and crooked, but the paper is, at least, not singed this time. ]

Is this fine? I wrote down everything I could.
oripyrothy: (sick tiems)

this the actual paper obvs.

Oripathy = being infected from originium

Originium = black stone, used as power source and also used to cast arts

Prolonged [ the word "Prolonged" is written out several times and crossed out several times, in various spellings as she tries to find the correct one ] contact with originium infects somebody they start to grow originium in their bodies

Nita's book said my oripathy isn't contajous contagous

It starts in blood but eventu at some point skin hardens and becomes originium but can also happen inside of body too in flesh and organs

People usually die when organs stop functioning I think

Infection measured by levels of originium in blood and fushion rate in flesh

Simptoms vary on where oripathy infects person what's turned to originium

Mine causes lots of pain in nerveous system nerves and seeing and hearing things that aren't there

Also originium in body means they can cast arts usually I can use fire arts because of it

There's no cure treatments are only to slow spread of originium

Treatments are usually injections sometimes they use big machines. They only do treatments after measuring [ her handwriting was very drawn out there trying to make sure she spelt it right ] originium in blood sample but usually 2-3 times a week

I don't know the name of what they use or how much

[This is ... not what he expected. Fëanor has to read the description several times before the meaning really sinks in. Not because it's so illegible, he's seen worse, but the message is just unbelievable. As he reads about pain, hallucinations, how there is no cure, and the only thing there is just slows down the spread of this...disease? Though to him, it sounds more like a parasite.

Poor child. ]

It's perfect. I'll pass it to Lady Wen. [There's a noticeable pause before he adds. The tone of his voice has changed too.] We have a school here. You can attend if you wish.

[ It seems to Ifrit that Fëanor has cooled down too. Good. She doesn't know how to handle adults like that.

At his mention of school, she stiffens a little bit. ]
I..... guess Silence would want me to keep up with my homework and stuff. [ Her tone suggests it is not something she personally finds pleasant, in the way most kids or teenagers don't appreciate school. However, it also suggests that she cares a lot about what "Silence" might think.

Because she does. Silence is the most important person in the world to Ifrit, really. And Saria, of course, but Saria wouldn't even see Ifrit any more.

...Of course, Ifrit couldn't see Silence or Saria now, stuck aboard this train going to different worlds. But she could at least make sure she's doing what they would want. ]

Then it would only be proper to honor your friend's wish.

[Or mentor... or whoever this person is. He went with friend on the assumption that were they a family member, they'd be more likely to be identified as such. And it didn't feel right to ask for clarification. Maybe some other time.]

What were you learning?
oripyrothy: (so this is a book huh)

[personal profile] oripyrothy 2020-05-03 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Even if he asked, her relationship with Silence was hard to describe, mostly because they never really put anything into words. "Friend" wasn't accurate, but she didn't really have a better term. Guardian, maybe? ...Well, it wasn't important right now.

What she was learning, huh... ]
Reading and writing, math. Some history and science stuff too.

Silence and Doctor say it's the stuff most kids learn earlier in schools, but I've never been to one. I didn't start learning that stuff until I came to Rhodes Island.

They were correct. Most do. [Human kids on Earth at least. The elves... well, they have a more relaxed curriculum.] You need not worry. All those are things you can learn here as well. So you won't risk getting behind in your studies.

[History might be a problem. Having so many worlds to choose from.]
