Train Questionnaire
Thanks for participating but to protect my sanity, no more questionnaires will be accepted.
Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.
All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.
Please fill it out and deliver it to me, Tony Stark. You'll most likely find me in my lab (aka, the quiet room that has a lock, a 'keep out' sign, and glass painted).
[ooc: Just fyi, Tony *will* comment on something about your answers when you hand in your answers IC. I've checked with the mod and these can count toward bonus threads, etc. Also, it's very common that people lie on these forms. Fill them out as your character would IC please.]
*** Update *** I've recruited a few more people to help with these so you all can get a response faster and spare my sanity. If you have a preference between Tony, Feanor, Ignis, and Gladio. This group might be referenced to as the Welcome Committee before too long.

Fëanor has a theory to verify. So he approaches Drizzt not long after he's read his answers.]
Thank you for filling the questionnaire. Would you mind if I asked you one more?
no subject
You are most welcome. [He raised an eyebrow, though.] What further?

Do the names Oromë or Melkor mean anything to you?
[He did mention a goddess. That made Fëanor wondering if perhaps his people aren't part of the lost tribes that never answered the Valars' call and never made it to Aman. They could be. No worlds other than his own have elves as far as he knows.]
no subject
No. To what do they refer?
no subject
[Time to stop being cryptic.]
You wrote that your kin is called elves by others. So are mine. I was wondering if by any chance we came from the same realm.
[Middlearth is vast and he has seen only a tiny portion of it.]

[He shakes his head, thoughtful.]
We are elves, but a coyote and a jackal are both dogs, and are easily distinguished from one another. The Drow have a legend, that the elves of the surface banished us to the recesses of the earth, cursed us to a land of lightlessness and gloom. Elves like you.
[There is no contempt in his voice, or hatred either in his tone or his eyes. It's spoken as a recitation, something repeated so often as to become habit, and it's obvious he doesn't believe a word of it.]
We are taught you are all vile, evil, selfish creatures who detest any being unlike yourselves. I believe it to be rhetoric spread by a cruel goddess to keep her chosen pets obedient.

There were no curses involved though. [To the extent of his knowledge. Still, there might have been and he wouldn't even know. All that exodus story always sounded suspicious to him.] And my people built cities underground. [A city. Singular.]
Now that's exactly something servants of the Enemy would say, and by Enemy I mean Melkor or Morgoth. Though I doubt he'd use any of those names. [Especially the second one.]
no subject
[And yet here he stands, a survivor.]
The Underdark is deeper than any surface dwarf ever delved. It is a lightless place warmed only by the fires of the earth.
no subject
Fair, I believe you.
[Opposing cruel and unjust gods is a course of action he'd always agree with. Still, the description of the place resembles nothing he's ever heard of.]
Sadly, I have no knowledge of such a place.
[There's still too little to confirm or disprove his theory but that can wait.]
Thank you, I will bother you no more.
no subject
[He shakes his head at that.]
It is no trouble. If you have further questions, I will answer them.
