Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.
Please fill it out and deliver it to me, Tony Stark. You'll most likely find me in my lab (aka, the quiet room that has a lock, a 'keep out' sign, and glass painted).

[Tony had a stack of papers he was grading when Aaron comes in. He stops and gives the not-so-young man a polite smile. Tony chuckles at the remark just for him.]

That's fair, of course, for anyone from a world that knows me. What are you besides 'not human'? I'd hope you weren't human if you're from 1000 AD.

[ Aaron leaned against the wall with one shoulder. At the question, he'd started attempting to pick at the skin around his finger nails. His hands were still a bit shaky. ]

You keep these confidential, right? Like a doctor?

Yes, I do my absolute best to guard these answers. The only exception is we've been getting so many of these lately I've recruited Feanor to assist. He's also been sworn to confidentiality and won't abuse that privilege. So either way it'll be kept between the two of us if that, but otherwise no one else will get this information.

[He notes the shaking.]

Uh, I'm an angel? I don't mean that as a joke or some smart-ass answer. Like literally. I just don't really want it to get out. People get weird right? I mean, I imagine a lot of people are weird around you, yeah? Except people try to turn talking into me some confessional.

[ He hurriedly shoved his hands into his hoodie pocket. He lowered his gaze and kind of looked away, similar to a teen who was caught with something they shouldn't have. ]

It's nothing. [ The way his lower lip stuck out in a pout surely implied otherwise. ]

[Tony's eyebrows rose at that.]

Aren't you supposed to have wings or has the bell not chimed for you yet? I'm kidding. Of course, I'll keep that between us if you'd like.

[Sigh.]

How about you tell me what 'nothing' is and then we can both agree it's nothing?

[ A shadow crossed Aaron's face at the joke. He wouldn't comment on it.

His brow furrowed further at the question. He speaks in a grudging mumble. ]

It's withdrawal.

[ Then, even more quietly. ]

...Something I think you can sympathize with, Robert.

[ He shrunk into his oversized hoodie a little bit. Tony may get the feeling that Aaron thinking he is this Robert person is the only reason he's willing to be honest. ]

[Sigh. Kids these days- er, angels, whatever.

The news of what Aaron is going through does make him frown sympathetically though. For a second before he gives him just a confused look.]

[Just how bad is that withdrawal that the guy already forgot his name?]

[Because the medicine cabinet is about to be locked SO fast.]

[ The unhappy expression on Aaron's face grew softer and turned into confusion. He looked up to Tony. He was currently the living equivalent of the math meme. ]

You don't... Have to put on illusions that you're Tony Stark for the sake of the kids here. You... Know that, right? It's not like Santa or the Tooth Fairy, they know on some level that he's just a character in a movie.

[Tony frowned in confusion.]

What do you mean? Wait, I'm a character in a movie? Well there were some Saturday morning cartoons of me and several action figures. Your world had me in a movie?

Uh, yeah. A whole series of movies. You're a comic book character from a studio called, uh... Marvel, I believe. You and the Avengers had your run of Saturday morning cartoons over the decades, yeah, but the most recent is a series of movies for you and then another series for the Avengers. You're played by a man named Robert Downey Jr.

[ The confused look is replaced with a more critical eye, examining Tony. ]

...He looks and sounds exactly like you.

[ That is to say in polite conversation: very attractive. ]
