Train Questionnaire
Thanks for participating but to protect my sanity, no more questionnaires will be accepted.
Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.
All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.
Please fill it out and deliver it to me, Tony Stark. You'll most likely find me in my lab (aka, the quiet room that has a lock, a 'keep out' sign, and glass painted).
[ooc: Just fyi, Tony *will* comment on something about your answers when you hand in your answers IC. I've checked with the mod and these can count toward bonus threads, etc. Also, it's very common that people lie on these forms. Fill them out as your character would IC please.]
*** Update *** I've recruited a few more people to help with these so you all can get a response faster and spare my sanity. If you have a preference between Tony, Feanor, Ignis, and Gladio. This group might be referenced to as the Welcome Committee before too long.

What’s your name? Gladiolus Amicitia
What species are you? Human.
What’s your birthday/ years you’ve been alive? 23. Almost 24. April 2nd.
How many years is the average lifespan of your particular species? Depends on where you live. Right now it's looking grim. But a healthy person I suppose can live to a ripe old age of their 80's to 90's, give or take.
Year you’re from: M.E. 756
How many months in your world’s calendar? 12
How many days in the months? Different days for different months. Generally around 30.
How many hours? Minutes? Seconds? 24 hours a day. 60 minutes in an hour. 60 seconds in a minute. That what you're asking?
What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform? To me? Just heading to the Leville Hotel after meeting back up with Noctis and the guys. Didn't even make it to the hotel before I was on that damn platform.
What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? My city was destroyed. That good enough for you? Personally... I'd split off from the group. Decided it was time to do the trial of Gilgamesh. It's a Shield's duty to test their might against him.
If you had not been taken at that point in time, would you still be alive? Yeah.
Technology:
What is the most advanced technological device in your world? Can't really answer that, but the Niffs have some high tech stuff going on.
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? There are trains. Don't fly through space and kidnap people though.
Do you have trains, but not ones that go through the Void? Think I just answered that.
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly? That I use? Phone, probably.
Magic:
Does your world use magic? Do you use magic? Is your magic based on a device/ talisman/ lineage/ race? I don't use magic. Magic is a limited thing, limited to the royals of Lucis and whoever they gift their abilities to.
Inventory:
What items were in your rucksack upon waking? Specifically, did anything come with you from your home world? If so, what was it? The book I'd been reading.
Medical
Do you have any medical conditions or issues that are being treated by a doctor? No.
Do you have any known allergies or special dietary needs? Not really.
Companions
Is there anyone from your world here? Were they here before/ after you got here or arrived at the same time? Iggy was here before. Prompto came with me.
Skills
What special skills do you have, particularly fighting or military skills? Both. Trained from a young age.
Are there any chores on the list you'd be willing to do if someone else finds their assigned chores particularly disdainful? Or can you be bribed to do both? I'll do my part.
Question for subsequent months
Did anyone from your universe turn up at the train station this time? If so, who? Prompto.

Either way, he was glad for a break.]
Ah, looks like I've finally earned your trust enough to get this. You and Ignis are similar there. Please, sit.
[He skimmed the paper and glanced up at the man.]
What is the trial of Gilgamesh?
no subject
Don't take this the wrong way. But I just forgot. Nothing sinister. Had more important things to deal with...
[Like Prompto. But he went quiet and waited for the guy to finish reading. And when he did, all Gladio could do was raise a brow and smile.]
It's a Trial to test the strength of the Kings Shield. To ensure they're worthy of that position.
no subject
I can accept that kind of honesty. It's better than getting some idiotic answers some people give me.
[He listens and nods slowly.]
Is Gilgamesh a creature you have to kill or a place or.. what? Is that where you got your beauty marks?
no subject
[Gladio sat back in his seat and crossed his legs, considering Tony's question carefully.]
Gilgamesh... is... was the Shield of the Founder King. The first of us. From what I'm told, previous Shield's have faced him and none have won. Or returned alive. A friend of ours, Cor, he fought Gilgamesh and lost, but managed to leave with his life.
[He chuckled and dropped his leg and leaned forward a bit. He grabbed the front of his tshirt and lifted it to show the scar that ran from his left shoulder straight across to his right side.]
This was my take away from the Blademaster. But I defeated him. He found me worthy to be my Kings Shield. And...
[He dropped his shirt and reached out to his side, in his hand a long katana materialised. The Genji Blade. The blade was ornate, the handle bound in maroon leather, and the golden insignia of the Crownsguard is attached to the hilt.]
I was gifted this. It belonged to The Marshal before me.
no subject
He watched curiously as he was shown more of Gladio's skin. He certainly wasn't complaining. The young man was attractive, after all.
His eyebrows rose sharply when the large sword was suddenly brought forth. He examined the design, admiring the craftmanship.]
Gifted to you by this Gilgamesh or the Marshal? And, I can't help but notice that tattoo of yours. What inspired that?
no subject
[He's offered to give it back, but Cor had refused. The blade was his now. Gladio smiled and let the katana return to the Armiger where it belonged. The next part of Tony's question had his smile widening.]
You like it? My family don't have a family crest. We have this. Handed down through the male line of the Amicitia family. We get this when we become the Shield. My dad had one as well.
no subject
[He gestured for Gladio to turn around.]
Mind letting me see it? Is it purely symbolic or are there any magical properties to it?
no subject
[There was no small amount of pride in his voice when he spoke of Cor. He was a living legend, after all. He did raise a brow at the gesture to turn and couldn't help the small smirk that curved his lips as he rose from his seat. Slowly, very amused, Gladio turned, letting Tony get a good look.]
Purely symbolic. we don't have magic like that where I come from.
[Which went a long way to explaining his fascination with it here. He turned back, grinning.]
Like what you see?
no subject
His lip curled at one side as he watched the brash young man show off his bare back. He'd noted that amusement Gladio!
Once the Shield was facing him again, he laughed and gave him a wink.]
Are all the men in your world attractive of just the members of your little boy band?
no subject
Funnily, I think a lot are. Could be biased because it'd my world. But... boy band? Is that what you think of us?
[Gladio smirked. Getting to travel around with three very attractive men. Gladio couldn't complain about that at all.]
Not denying they're good looking though. Nice how that worked out, don't you think?
no subject
I'll be nice and spare you the spoon trick I pulled on Ignis. You'll have to ask him about that.
[He was going to get in trouble for mentioning that, wasn't he?]
And yes, what else do you call this group you have?
no subject
Spoon trick...? This isn't something that'll get me stabbed if I ask, will it?
[Gladio shook his head, chuckling. This guy was something else.]
Depends on who you ask. Me? Friends.
no subject
He had to actually consider that question.]
No but expect a lot of blushing and coughing. Put if you get a picture of his face, I'll buy you some real non-ginger beer.
[He rolled his eyes at that.]
That was just sappy. Get out.
no subject
Sounds like a complex operation. I'd have to get Prompto to agree. Won't be hard though.
[Gladio grinned widely.]
Come on, Tony. You don't have friends?
[He uncrossed his legs and began to stand. He'd been dismissed, after all.]
You have any more questions, you know where I am.
no subject
[He hadn't been serious about dismissing Gladio, but now that the man was standing, he figured he should let him go. It was only going to lead to getting into more trouble if they kept going anyway.]
Thank you for doing this, Gladio. If you need anything either, I'll be around.
no subject
[Gladio gave Tony a respectful little bow before he turned and headed for the door, pausing only to put his shirt back on and grin.]
No problem. See you around.
[He left, closing the door behind him and went in search of Prompto to ask him about spoons.]
