Train Questionnaire

Thanks for participating but to protect my sanity, no more questionnaires will be accepted.

Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.
Please fill it out and deliver it to me, Tony Stark. You'll most likely find me in my lab (aka, the quiet room that has a lock, a 'keep out' sign, and glass painted).

[ooc: Just fyi, Tony *will* comment on something about your answers when you hand in your answers IC. I've checked with the mod and these can count toward bonus threads, etc. Also, it's very common that people lie on these forms. Fill them out as your character would IC please.]

*** Update *** I've recruited a few more people to help with these so you all can get a response faster and spare my sanity. If you have a preference between Tony, Feanor, Ignis, and Gladio. This group might be referenced to as the Welcome Committee before too long.

He chuckled and shook his head. "I think Yasi would kick our ***es if we started smoking. And if he didn't my Healer would." He grinned a bit at that. "Alright, so the brief basics." which would be anything but, by most standards.

"Black Widows are a powerful Caste of witches. Setting aside their deadly poison, they are dangerous because of their Tangled Webs. Generally Black Widows can weave one of two kinds of Tangled Webs. One kind lets them see the future. They know when that future can be changed and when it is immutable. The other kind of webs are complex illusions. And I assure you illusions can kill. They can have physical and tangible manifestations." Making the word illusion questionable. "What most people when they think about the Tangled Webs though is the Webs tangling up minds. Trapping them. Someone caught in a Tangled Web can't tell reality from illusion. There is no way to tell from within how much time is passing outside. And most people wouldn't think to wonder. Black Widows aren't the most common caste of witches, even though it is the only Caste someone can join even if they were not born to it. How that is possible is a secret the Hourglass keeps well. And Black Widows can be secretive, and frankly," he laughed, "off putting. Not everyone can handle the tartness that seems tied to the personalities of those born to the Hourglass. I'd say I blame the venom, but last time I did, Karla nearly knocked my head off." A small wistful smile, mischief twinkling in his blue eyes.

"Now, the way I see it, there are two strong possibilities. One is that I was caught in a trap Web - and why has its own list of possibilities - and everyone here is a creation of the web. The other possibility is that this is a stronger web than I could have envisioned myself and it is actually catching minds from realms I've never even heard of. Meaning that some or all of you are actually real, and trying to rationalize the illusion though your own framework. I am leaning towards the second for a number of reasons. One is the sheer imagination it would take to create so many different worlds and histories and back stories. The next is that so much of what is core and fundamental to the Blood seems to be missing. Things that I don't think anyone would even consider enough to leave out. Then there is the fact that the strongest Black Widows in history are family, or close to it. Unless the time I have been here is less than a few hours in reality, I would have been found by now. Which means that this Tangled Web is too strong for them to safely remove all the minds they care about. And if Jaenelle had any sense that there were other innocent minds here? She wouldn't risk anything until she knew she could save us all. And of course, the most pressing reason I think that at least some of you are real..." he said, grinning impishly, "Is that it is more interesting and fun if that is the case. And since my belief in here has no bearing on getting me free, there is no harm in letting myself believe that until proven otherwise. Besides, it is the safer way to bet."

"Of course. There is no way to be sure right now who and what is and is not real. So the best thing to do is stay alert, be cautious, and treat things as real until I know for sure otherwise," he said with a shrug and a grin. As for these so-called missions, apparently I missed a number of them in some odd sort of time skip that landed me in, of all things, a large box." Which made so little sense it was just more proof to his mind that this was an elaborate Tangled Web/

"Well, a way out might be nice," he said with a grin. "Failing that.... when I first got here, I asked a question, no one seemed to have an answer to, maybe you do. This currency they give us here when we do chores or whatever, can we pay other people with it? Could I actually provide a service, sell my skills, and then use that money to pay someone else to do the chores I can't?"

He's willing to work, he's willing to do his share. But there are some chores that he does not know how to do and has no interest in learning. Plus he missed having a staff.

"Laced or black?" he asked with a smirk. Oh come on, someone asked Khary for Coffee, and they weren't first thing in the morning grumpy. Of course he was going to have fun with it. Especially since he needed the chance to process what to do without marks. He had no problem working, of course, but there were tasks to which he was suited and those to which he was not. Could they introduce a paper economy?

Up to you, Kharry is happy to continue the conversation.

He grinned and a pair of mugs appeared alongside a thermos. He poured them each out a boozy coffee. He was known around his friend group for the drinks he mixed. Him and Jaenelle. This was one of the better brews he'd made since arriving. He slid one across to Tony, using Craft to keep it from tipping or spilling, stopping it short just in the right place to be easily grabbed... but with the handle pointed the wrong way. He had a small amused smirk.
