Little bit about them: So I heard the game was collecting Dads.

No but for real, Gyousou is the immortal king of Tai, the inhospitable north-west island kingdom of the Twelve Kingdoms known for its gemstone springs and freezing winters. He was a general of the previous king's palace guard when that king strayed from the True Path of the Ruler and was cursed into death; he spent the next [random amount of time] trying to keep the kingdom from falling apart without its fisher king and then got selected by Taiki to be the next ruler. Convenient! His hobbies include sword-fighting, taming demon animals to use as battle mounts, and trying to make Taiki believe in himself.

Anyway. Then there was a coup and he spent seven years trapped under a mountain with broken legs surviving off yearly food offerings his citizens floated along the Tai rivers to wish for his safe return, because Drama, and then he rescued himself by taming a large flying demon tiger and promptly turned himself in to the coup leader again to save his people etc etc anyway he's from the day of his execution and he's had a Time. He's not gonna look great when he arrives.
Hopes and dreams: He's. He's so well-adjusted. Please come to him with your problems. Please give him friends and children so he can cope with losing his entire kingdom. He's going to be like Light in that he can just kind of exist.

hang on lemme find you the summary of the moment they're brought in....

[Asen, the coup leader, has a plan. That plan is to force Gyousou to 'admit' that he made Taiki proclaim him king wrongfully, and that Asen is the rightful king, in front of his citizens. Then he'll be executed. Taiki has a plan. That plan is to run to Gyousou, bow before him (the kirin can ONLY bow to their chosen king and the citizens know that) to prove that he's the rightful king, and then die together with him.]

Just before the Palace doors open everyone takes their respective places. Taiki stands just beside Asen’s throne, surrounded by guards with his loyal bodyguard Yari weaponless at his back. The girl carefully observes those closest to her as the show starts, when Taiki’s gaze suddenly flies toward the closer side gate - after a moment Gyousou is brought out in chains by the executioner. The second he’s placed on the platform and chained to the pillar in front of the crowd, Taiki abruptly stands up, grabs the arm of the nearest guard, steals his blade and stabs him in the gut. Then he storms from behind the blinds separating the throne dais from the people, and runs down with Yari by his side. No one knows what’s going on and the courtiers fly into panic, while Taiki hurries through the crowd towards the platform and Yari gets rid of every person getting in their way--

Oooooh! Wow! That sure is one very big turning point moment they're taken from! And right from the grasp of certain death, too.

Canon doesn't give us the details of Wen Qing's death, we only see her when she along with her relatives walk right into Jin sect headquarters to surrender themselves. Then days later, the corpses are displayed on the walls and her ashes are displayed and scattered in public as part of rousing the troops. We know she was burned alive but no details.
