Void Trecking

The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!

Board Games

The game carriage is full of games. Every board game imaginable from silly party games to serious strategy games that last for hours. There are a disproportionate amount of games about trains.

Grab some friends, grab a game and some beanbags and get playing! Dive into a world of deck building or play a silly card game. A great way to alleviate boredom.

You have arrived in a place which might remind you of Victoria London if Victoria London had floating palaces and was ruled by wizards.

Their rule is strict and any kind of Winter celebration is banned. You have been called by a group of rebels to help with an underground celebration.

Team One

Distraction. Be out in the city, keep watch. If the guards get anywhere near the secret entrances distract them. Perhaps by being a lost tourist. Perhaps by causing mayhem. Make sure the organisers and party goers can arrive without a hitch.

Team Two

A party is not complete without food. The party is being held underground and there isn't much in the way of kitchens and do help bake in people's houses and smuggle the food across the city. Careful of guards.

Team Three

The venue needs decorating and the presents need wrapped. It might be an underground bunker but everyone is determined to make it the best festival ever, despite the risks. Help make it happen!

Party

Of course after all that hard work there is time to celebrate before you must board the train once more.

There's a grimace on his face as he tries to absorb that information: All the time. A million thoughts run through his head, a million questions to ask.

He might as well start somewhere. Everything about this has to be wrong.

He takes the seat, sitting stiffly.

"Uh... who's running this? How many kidnappings have there been?"

Maybe he can find out why he's been separated from everyone, too. Maybe he'll find them.

And again, Nita sighs.

"'Fraid I don't know. The conductor doesn't speak to us outside of text, and I can't get any details from the train itself."

Which, even if it chose to be vague, it'd still be reassuring knowing how it was alive!

"So people get letters."

He thinks on it a moment - it definitely doesn't sound unusual in this regard. It's been the MO of many of his and Leon's clients back in Whitby. It actually makes him feel a little more hopeful.

"It must be a particularly difficult case, if they need this many people helping them."

"It's a little less formal than letters normally are, but yes," Nita corrects, quiet.

"And from what I've heard, it's more that they take on all sorts of cases sequentially, one after the other. Sometimes people leave between cases, but there's no rhyme or reason to who leaves or why."

Nita hasn't gotten much explanation, but the tidbits she has gathered are telling in their own way.

Noah's eyes widen hopefully - If they're taking on so many sequential cases, and always grabbing people, it's almost inevitable that he'll get back to Leon, perhaps in no time at all! They always work as a pair.

He relaxes against his seat, letting out a much-needed sigh of relief.

"Well, then, I suppose the least I can do is help."

Not that he necessarily wasn't planning to anyway, but this does make it easier on him.

"Thank you," is also the least he can say. "For filling me in. I feel a little better, knowing what's going on, now."

Hopefully no one's planning on keeping him here long; Nita manages another smile for him, encouraging.

"I do what I can. We have to be there for each other, you know? Support, and all."
