Void Trecking

The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!

Board Games

The game carriage is full of games. Every board game imaginable from silly party games to serious strategy games that last for hours. There are a disproportionate amount of games about trains.

Grab some friends, grab a game and some beanbags and get playing! Dive into a world of deck building or play a silly card game. A great way to alleviate boredom.

You have arrived in a place which might remind you of Victoria London if Victoria London had floating palaces and was ruled by wizards.

Their rule is strict and any kind of Winter celebration is banned. You have been called by a group of rebels to help with an underground celebration.

Team One

Distraction. Be out in the city, keep watch. If the guards get anywhere near the secret entrances distract them. Perhaps by being a lost tourist. Perhaps by causing mayhem. Make sure the organisers and party goers can arrive without a hitch.

Team Two

A party is not complete without food. The party is being held underground and there isn't much in the way of kitchens and do help bake in people's houses and smuggle the food across the city. Careful of guards.

Team Three

The venue needs decorating and the presents need wrapped. It might be an underground bunker but everyone is determined to make it the best festival ever, despite the risks. Help make it happen!

Party

Of course after all that hard work there is time to celebrate before you must board the train once more.

[ It's cute that Cal thinks Naruto will just let it go like that and not incessantly bother him for information regardless of how urgent pressing matters are. It's real cute.

However. Luckily for Cal, before Naruto can launch his pestering in full force, he's thoroughly distracted by the little robots beeps and it's jerky little movements. He's basically never seen anything like this before, and once he's sure the thing is friendly (reassured by Cal's translation of it's beeps) he's focusing more on that than he is on the garland in his hands. ]

Oooh, BD-1? That's a.. kinda weird name but it kinda suits ya, y'know! [ He's just straight up talking to the little guy now, ignoring Cal completely. ] I'm Naruto! Nice to meet ya too!

[He'll fill him in later on it. BD trills slightly at Naruto and Cal smiles a bit more, watching as his droid floats back down to him and settles himself on Cals back. He's used to it, so the droid clinging to his shirt isn't something that's going to phase him at all. ]

He said 'likewise'. How are you walking on the ceiling? Are you one of the spider-kids?

[ Gwen and Peter both did the same thing. Hell, Gwen was almost never on the ground. She seemed to greatly prefer being up high. ]

Spider-kid? [ Naruto looks sufficiently horrified, which tells Cal more than words could that no, he is not some kind of spider-kid, and that his walking on ceilings ability is sourced not from spiders. ] I'm a ninja, y'know. We can all walk on the ceiling, an' the walls... basically whatever we want. It's chakra control!

[ He pauses, then releases the control to his feet, flipping a circle in the air before landing on the ground next to Cal and BD-1. ]

You never met a ninja before then, huh?

You haven't met Gwen or Peter or Miles, then. They can climb walls and ceilings, too.

[ He's sure Naruto would get along with the spider-teens. Cal can picture the four of them causing the best chaos on the train. He might even help out, some. Just because.

Listen, he may be a Jedi, but he missed out on a lot of training. Some stepping out of line can be overlooked, right? Of course they can. ]

I've never met a ninja. Most of the people I know worked in a scrapyard, taking apart Imperial ships and broken droids.

[ There's a buzz and trill of alarm from BD1, somehow the small droid radiating alarm in the way his antennae pop up and the sudden straightening of his posture. ]

Broken, BD. Broken beyond fixing. Don't worry; you won't be one of them.

[ BD doesn't look entirely convinced, but he does rest his head on Cal's shoulder, watching the area with some paranoia. ]

[ Naruto doesn't feel one way or the other, really, about hearing there are other people out there who can do what he can do... Although it is interesting to know there are people who.. presumably aren't ninjas, out there, who can do what he does. All he can feel is a sense of curiosity, an excitement to get to know these... spider people. He hopes they don't look like spiders, too.

Naruto's eyes watch BD-1 with kind of shared sympathy, though there's a smile creeping up because.. well, it's a very cute robot and he is easily endeared at the best of times. His alarm is cute, and Cal's reassurance is something he can relate to.. Protective of his friends.. Cal is clearly good people. ]

Ya come from a very different world than me, it sounds like. If your little friend is anythin' to go off of, y'know. We don't have anythin' even close to him back home. He's really cool!
