Test Drive Meme 007
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Void Trecking
The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!
Board Games
The game carriage is full of games. Every board game imaginable from silly party games to serious strategy games that last for hours. There are a disproportionate amount of games about trains.
Grab some friends, grab a game and some beanbags and get playing! Dive into a world of deck building or play a silly card game. A great way to alleviate boredom.
Happy Holidays
You have arrived in a place which might remind you of Victoria London if Victoria London had floating palaces and was ruled by wizards.
Their rule is strict and any kind of Winter celebration is banned. You have been called by a group of rebels to help with an underground celebration.
Team One
Distraction. Be out in the city, keep watch. If the guards get anywhere near the secret entrances distract them. Perhaps by being a lost tourist. Perhaps by causing mayhem. Make sure the organisers and party goers can arrive without a hitch.
Team Two
A party is not complete without food. The party is being held underground and there isn't much in the way of kitchens and do help bake in people's houses and smuggle the food across the city. Careful of guards.
Team Three
The venue needs decorating and the presents need wrapped. It might be an underground bunker but everyone is determined to make it the best festival ever, despite the risks. Help make it happen!
Party
Of course after all that hard work there is time to celebrate before you must board the train once more.
Eat drink and be merry!

Team 3
She quickly affixed the ribbon to the wall and carefully climbed down the chair without toppling over. She should be more mindful about wearing a dress while in high places but she'd never had to think about things like that before and it didn't even occur to her now.
"Oh. You mean to put up the ribbons?" Naminé clasped her hands together and her smile widened. "Yes. I'd like that very much. Thank you."
She didn't actually know how it worked so she took some of the ribbon, scissors and tape, placing the items in her lap as she sat in the chair. "Do I just sit like this?"
no subject
"To put up the ribbons? Yes." He mimicked her voice back to her, a happy glint in his eyes as he nodded.
He waited for her to gather her things and sit in the chair, nodding. "Yes, like that. Hold on?" He started the cast, murmuring a few words and moving a talon. She lifted off the ground with a very gentle motion - Paper didn't want to dump her out of the chair on accident. "Where go?"
no subject
He wanted to help her and she was grateful for that help.
"Okay." Her her fingers curled around the edge of the chair as it began to lift off the ground. It wasn't enough, she burst into a little giggle a she began to float up towards where she had first fastened the ribbon to the wall.
She was flying!
"Ah. Oh, over there next." She pointed with one raised finger, indicating where she wanted him to move the chair.
no subject
"Over there next. Tell me when to stop." He moved her along in the direction she was pointing, slowly so that he could stop her where she wanted to be.
As he's moving her and carefully picking his way around the people on the ground, he pipes up to her. "Ribbons pretty! You make?"
no subject
"Yes. I couldn't do much to help out but I could do this much and I thought it was nice." She glanced down and smiled at the dark feathered bird below her. "I was told that decorations were important during celebrations like this." Most of what she knew about the holidays had been learn in the last half hour of talking to those getting things ready.
This was Naminés first Christmas.
"Can we go over there next?" She pointed again before holding onto the things in her lap. The last thing she wanted was to drop something on someone's head.
Her gaze drifted down again to look at her new friend. "Do you celebrate things like this?"
no subject
"Sure thing!" He started moving her again once all hands and feet were once again above the chair. He cheerily looked up to her as she asked her question. He thinks for a moment, then looks back up to her.
"There is Feast of the Moon at the start of winter! We honor ancestors and respected dead with stories and a feast!" Which was in the title, but he wanted to be clear. He seems to think a moment longer, then remembers another. "Wintershield! The mark of a new year! People get a day off work, and drink cider, broths, and teas! We tell stories of the past year, plan the new year!" There was often a political tone as well, but his guild members often did not discuss such things and took it as a time of merriment and a day out of the field. It was a time for them to spend time together.
He looked at the decorations, regarding them. "No decorations though, unless rich! King Daxio had decorations, the people of Pirn not. And decorations not like this?" He pointed to the ribbon.
no subject
"That sounds like a nice holiday." It was different from the descriptions of the holiday they were celebrating here but Naminé found that she liked Paper's holiday traditions better. She didn't know anyone who was exactly dead but she thought that everyone deserved to be remembered.
She looked down at him with a warm smile. "Maybe we can celebrate that today too. If you want."
After a brief pause she felt herself blush. "Oh. I'm done. Could you let me down?" She should have mentioned it earlier but she'd been enthralled by his story that she hadn't wanted to interrupt.
"I think a feast could have a pretty center piece. If you want we can make one for today? I have some paper and other materials left from the ribbon." She was fairly sure she could fold up a flower and color them in a few different colors.
