She sounds like a precious spider child! :> All the cozying up! But can she eat normal food or preferred bugs to eat?

Well she spent her entire infancy eating poisonous monsters and bugs to survive so she is Done With That and has vowed only to eat delicious food from now on.

So!

The benefits of feeding the spider are: handwoven pure white clothing made out of magical spider silk thread! Being teleported on request! Enemies obliterated! You can hang out in her comfy spider nest if you're feeling overwhelmed! All this and more for the low low price of like one meal a week.
