His Stand, which can be I suppose most easily translated to a spirit/ghost comprised of his own life energy that he can manifest, or not, as he chooses. Sort of seven feet of muscle and golden armor that can stop time and do various other things like go right through walls like a ghost. Normal senses can't perceive or interact with a Stand, but because I say so because it'd be boring otherwise, just about any supernatural ones can. For fun, punch The World in the nose and watch Dio bleed.

Hmm, if its a ghost we could certainly say that it sets off Danny's ghost sense. Would he always be able to sense it or just when it manifests?

For Danny, his sensing shows up as his breath showing on the air for a moment. Its related to his ice powers, because ghost logic somehow.

And yeah, Conan wouldn't sense anything. He's a normal human.... apart from looking ten years younger than he should be. Although he could definitely sympathize about not believing in magic. He was a skeptic too... until he ran into evidence he couldn't deny.

When manifested. When not, who knows where the heck a Stand goes but it's not 'there' to be sensed. ... but they can still be aware of what's going on?? I don't know, this series is a lot of 'This is the rule of how this works, until it's not!'. As far as I can tell when not manifested a Stand is simply back to being part of their user. In this case, Dio.

Ice powers are very convenient to have in the middle of summer. Is Danny capable of using them in non-combat 'hey my soda pop is getting warm' ways, or only Serious Methods Only?

I am greatly anticipating Dio encountering proper magic he can't explain away as Stand powers. Greatly anticipating it.

XD,sounds like most of my canons. I'm convinced sometimes that they operate by rule of cool logic.

But yes, I'll plan to have his ghost sense go off the first time the Stand manifests in his vicinity.

Yep, its actually a problem. His ghost side is built around an ice core, and if he doesn't use his ice powers they build up and he could lose control. This was a plot point in the last season of his show.
