Test Drive Meme 006
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Void Trecking
The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!
Relaxing
The newest carriage to be added to the Voidtrecker Express is a rock garden. In a glass domed carriage, flickering with the light of the void the rock garden is a peaceful and medative space, full of mosaics, a pond, fountains and small stony bridges.
It's also the closest to an outside space you have and so is likely to be used for less than peacful activities. Splash in the rivers, race around the paths. Or try and relax on a bench and read amongst the chaos.
Goblin Town
Goblins riding wolves, everyone's favourite foe. The wolves fly, obviously and the goblins fight with short spears, almost like knights on horseback if the knights were terrifying and demonic looking. They are causing trouble by harassing a small village.
Team One
Fight the goblins. A handful of weapons have been provided but mostly you need to try and outsmart the goblins. They can come from any direction, including up. Try and keep the village safe from their attacks.
Team Two
Protect the villagers, help them barricade their houses. Deal with any goblins that get through team one's defences. Some of the villagers want to help and that's alright, some of the villagers want to help and are still in single digits, that's probably less alright. Keep everyone safe!
Team Three
The thing with sieges is, some things still need to happen. People still need to eat. Babies need fed and looked after. Animals need tended. Try and help with the logistics of everything in the heart of the village, as far away from the fighting as possible.
Pick a team, go wild!
Piccolo | DBZ
Piccolo sat crossed legged near one of the streams, eyes closed. He was meditating. In front of him floated a few of the pebbles found in the carriage, turning slowly in the air. It was a mental exercise, and considering the train didn't particularly care for his more robust training styles (although at least it didn't take damage from his high energy beams and blasts, it was also kind of frustrating that it didn't too) this was his training style of choice these days. It meant he wouldn't hurt anyone that got too close at least.
Goblin Town, Team Two
Piccolo stopped going on the attack at some point and began helping with the defenses. He didn't know how long this would last or if it would always been never-ending--even after the train left--so the least they could do was to help fortify the place while here. He was strong enough to lift tons of metal and wooden pieces to make said fortifications, too, so it was easy work for him.
Whenever a wolf or goblin rider managed to make it through the outer warriors, Piccolo sent them packing with a punch or two, or a quick blast of energy that singed their rough fur.
Relaxing
Piccolo was an interesting person to watch. Not just because he looked like a monster. He had magic, that was obvious. She was watching him now from behind a fountain as he meditated, watching the rocks turn in the air.
She's still and quiet but not completely hidden. She doesn't think she has to be. She can run fast if he gets annoyed.

When she didn't move for a long time, Piccolo decided there was no harm and no foul in letting her do as she pleased. He wasn't disturbed and he had no reason to go out of his way while he was busy. If she wanted to come to him that was up to her.

"Hello." She remembered her manners as she moved out of hiding, still a little distance away. "Can I be coming closer?"
no subject
"Something you want?" Well. It wasn't a 'no'.

Like Luke had been. It's different than praying, though it is sort of the same. She continued to watch the rocks, they were still now. But they might move again.
no subject
He nodded. "Yeah, I was meditating."
no subject
She would assume so, he had powers that was for certain and she figured the rock moving must be part of the meditation. Perhaps it was some sort of practice, though moving rocks was a simple thing.

She tilted her head at him. "As far as I have been seeing the rocks here do no be having magic. I did no never be hearing of magic rocks before but I did no be hearing of many things." And yet had come face to face with them.

Piccolo lifted a hand and turned his claws towards the rocks as if he were going to reach out and grab one. He didn't, of course, but the gesture was obvious. And after a moment the rocks lifted into the air. They kept in place, not moving for the moment, but just hovering.
"It's not really what I would call magic though. At least not in my world. Though some magic users can use spells to achieve the same outcome." Or just have telekinesis as well as magic, kind of like Piccolo himself actually. He just never considers his magic. He's not well trained in it.
no subject
"What would you be calling it, if not magic?"
She really needed to write all the words people used down. It would be useful.
no subject
He watched her out of the corner of his eye, gaze actually focused on the rocks in front of him. "Telekinesis, I suppose. I use it as a mental exercise, which in turn strengthens my use of ki. Ki manipulation is the key to a true warrior's combat strength."
no subject
"You do be being a warrior?" She's aware the term means fighter, more generally than the Warriors of her world. But she still is impressed.

Was going to hit up relaxing, but saw you had a hit for that so...Goblin Town it is!
Not that she wasn't good at it--helping repel Goblins, or repair and fortify were easy with her powers. She was also a healer, and with light teleporting, able to move quickly from position to position.
The green guy--alien? although she didn't want to presume; almost seemed able to handle things solo just fine. But Raven wanted to check on him anyways, as even solo-fighters sometimes needed back up or another set of eyes. Especially as she teleported over, watching him lifting metal bars easily as villagers were waiting to secure them in place against wooden fortifications.
Reaching out a hand, mantra intoned softly under her breath and hand out as dark energy moved to hold the bars in place so they could be secured. It would free up the other voidtrecker to bring more over and the work would get done faster before the siege continued.

Mentally, he shrugged it off for now and just made a note to ask later. Physically, he saw the opportunity for what it was and moved off to grab another load while the hardier villagers secured the barriers in place. This would make this a lot quicker, which was good as Piccolo suspected another wave of enemies were likely to come around sooner rather than later.
no subject
Which meant by the time Piccolo returned with another load, that first set of materials have been secured enough in place that Raven can let her dark energy go. Turning to him, with her same energy blanketing the new load he had, but she waited a moment to be sure. "You seemed like you had it under control, but with the way the attacks keep regrouping...." Perhaps a bit shy, not that he might necessarily be able to pick up on it.

One hand out, dark-energy taking the supplies as Raven fit them into place so the workers could continue. Now it really was up to the villagers, and soon enough they'd catch on hopefully.
