Void Trecking

The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!

Relaxing

The newest carriage to be added to the Voidtrecker Express is a rock garden. In a glass domed carriage, flickering with the light of the void the rock garden is a peaceful and medative space, full of mosaics, a pond, fountains and small stony bridges.

It's also the closest to an outside space you have and so is likely to be used for less than peacful activities. Splash in the rivers, race around the paths. Or try and relax on a bench and read amongst the chaos.

Goblin Town

Goblins riding wolves, everyone's favourite foe. The wolves fly, obviously and the goblins fight with short spears, almost like knights on horseback if the knights were terrifying and demonic looking. They are causing trouble by harassing a small village.

Team One

Fight the goblins. A handful of weapons have been provided but mostly you need to try and outsmart the goblins. They can come from any direction, including up. Try and keep the village safe from their attacks.

Team Two

Protect the villagers, help them barricade their houses. Deal with any goblins that get through team one's defences. Some of the villagers want to help and that's alright, some of the villagers want to help and are still in single digits, that's probably less alright. Keep everyone safe!

Team Three

The thing with sieges is, some things still need to happen. People still need to eat. Babies need fed and looked after. Animals need tended. Try and help with the logistics of everything in the heart of the village, as far away from the fighting as possible.

The more Wei Ying practices, the better he'll get. And he has a feeling he'll be getting a fair bit of practice. And the encouragement that he is helping makes him happy. He entwines their fingers before leaning forward to rest his chin on their linked hands, peering up at his husband.

"Good." And there's that playful glint in eyes and smile. "Lan Zhan. You're finally not wearing white."

For once, Lan Wangji will have to surrender and let him take care of him, and let him practice his skills. Fingers intertwined, still shy from any public display of affection. He won't protest, because inwardly, he is proud and happy being married to him. He's a chiveralous gentleman, raising on rules, and to show any affection like this is strictly forbidden back home in Cloud Recesses. Always tense and terse, so he relaxes.

"Mn. I must say, it's something to get used to." He rather like his snow white robes since it reminds him of his hometown, but they're on a train going to a different world and it's something Lan Zhan doesn't mind exploring or having an adventure.

In the meanwhile, he doesn't have his guqin with him. "I wish I could play guqin for you and the passengers too."

Wei Ying likes being able to take care of Lan Zhan for once. He doesn't do any more than the little curl of fingers through each other, knowing how shy his husband tends to be. But he's allowed this touch. And they don't know people here yet. Caution is the best bet, which...from Wei Wuxian, is somewhat strange.

"We'll both get used to it here." He squeezes Lan Zhan's fingers gently. "And we're not alone." Because his husband is very good at finding him. And stubborn.

"We'll have to find something to replace it."

Lan Zhan is very touched, that he can manage to smile a bit and squeezed his hand gently. He left his guqin back home. It was an expensive instrument and he can only bring what he can carry. Between music and the sword, only one tool proves more steadfast and sturdy than the other as steel is more enduring than strings.

"Wei Ying. It's all right. I think I can manage. I have my sword. To protect you."

"Mm. You can still sing for me," Wei Ying reminds him with a happy smile. But he still wants to find something for his husband to play, knowing how those delicate-seeming hands must itch for strings to pluck.

Lan Zhan mirrors a shy smile back, eyes warm, his heart flutters with so much love for him. "I can sing for you." Does hearing him singing is something Wei Ying would like? Lan Zhan composes music and a song just for him as the Lan family has been musicians for many generations.

"What would you like me to sing?"
