Void Trecking

The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!

Relaxing

The newest carriage to be added to the Voidtrecker Express is a rock garden. In a glass domed carriage, flickering with the light of the void the rock garden is a peaceful and medative space, full of mosaics, a pond, fountains and small stony bridges.

It's also the closest to an outside space you have and so is likely to be used for less than peacful activities. Splash in the rivers, race around the paths. Or try and relax on a bench and read amongst the chaos.

Goblin Town

Goblins riding wolves, everyone's favourite foe. The wolves fly, obviously and the goblins fight with short spears, almost like knights on horseback if the knights were terrifying and demonic looking. They are causing trouble by harassing a small village.

Team One

Fight the goblins. A handful of weapons have been provided but mostly you need to try and outsmart the goblins. They can come from any direction, including up. Try and keep the village safe from their attacks.

Team Two

Protect the villagers, help them barricade their houses. Deal with any goblins that get through team one's defences. Some of the villagers want to help and that's alright, some of the villagers want to help and are still in single digits, that's probably less alright. Keep everyone safe!

Team Three

The thing with sieges is, some things still need to happen. People still need to eat. Babies need fed and looked after. Animals need tended. Try and help with the logistics of everything in the heart of the village, as far away from the fighting as possible.

"Unless their magic is stronger than mine, yes."

Natasha pondered for a moment before nodding. "Very well, I do not see the harm in trying." She didn't plan on getting hit either way but it was an added bonus.

He nodded. "Then give me one moment to make us some space." He took his hands out of his pocket and the Sapphire Jewel on his ring, as well as the one he was wearing on a pendant around his neck, flashed for a moment. A dome of invisible power surrounded them. He pushed it outward and where it met foes, the foes were pushed back. "that should give us the few moments I need to anchor the spell, Lady....?" he offered a hand to her.

Natasha watched him push the enemies back and had to admit it was slightly impressive but she kept her face impassive. It wouldn't do to give away feelings or react in a way that would endanger them. "Natasha Romanoff," she said taking the offered hand. She could easily defeat him if he turned on her but she doubted it would happen.

Oh he was sure she could. She reminded him of a lot of the witches he knew back home. He closed his hand over hers with a warm smile. "Lady Romanov. This will just take a moment." Creating a skintight shield over someone or something while he was touching them? Easy. Creating one around someone who was going to be fighting away from him, without a jewel to anchor it to... But thankfully he had lessons form the best. He focused, finding a bit of metal, and anchored it to that. It wouldn't hold long. But he saw how she fought. It wouldn't need long. She wrapped her in a Sapphire shield and anchored it. "That should hold for a few hours. We can try and find a way to anchor it longer if you want, for the future." He let go of her hand and resettled his grip on his bladed stick. "Ready to get back into it?"

Natasha nods in appreciation. A few hours would be helpful and honestly it was longer than she expected. "Thank you I appreciate it. For now that time period will be acceptable. I doubt the battle will go for that long. If it is I shall seek you out," she says with a nod of her head.

"I'll be close. Have to be, for the spell to hold anyway. Ready for me to drop the larger shield so we can get back into it?" he asked, checking the edge on his polearm.

"I'm ready," she says moving into a stance, ready to throw her bites at the oncoming goblins. "Let's kill some of them."

He grinned. "Works for me." He could use a workout today, and besides, he wanted to dedicate the strength in his Jewels for maintaining her shield. So where he had used Craft to kill the ones he fought so far, from her eon out he would use more martial means for the most part. He dropped the overarching shield, and drew his blade through the leg of one of the goblins that had been trying to force a way through the magic. He wasn't Yaslana. Any of the Yaslanas. Without adding craft top muscle he lacked the raw strength to cleave the creature in half. But sometimes two good strikes could help make the others think about charging him. So one swing for the leg and the other a sweep with the flat, as the goblin fell to use its own momentum to fling it back at one of the other gobbos. He didn't glance back to see how she was doing. He trusted her at his back, and he would know if her shield fell, since it was his power feeding it. So he would fight until there were no more to fight.
