Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

Void Trecking

The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!

Relaxing

The newest carriage to be added to the Voidtrecker Express is a rock garden. In a glass domed carriage, flickering with the light of the void the rock garden is a peaceful and medative space, full of mosaics, a pond, fountains and small stony bridges.

It's also the closest to an outside space you have and so is likely to be used for less than peacful activities. Splash in the rivers, race around the paths. Or try and relax on a bench and read amongst the chaos.

Goblin Town

Goblins riding wolves, everyone's favourite foe. The wolves fly, obviously and the goblins fight with short spears, almost like knights on horseback if the knights were terrifying and demonic looking. They are causing trouble by harassing a small village.

Team One

Fight the goblins. A handful of weapons have been provided but mostly you need to try and outsmart the goblins. They can come from any direction, including up. Try and keep the village safe from their attacks.

Team Two

Protect the villagers, help them barricade their houses. Deal with any goblins that get through team one's defences. Some of the villagers want to help and that's alright, some of the villagers want to help and are still in single digits, that's probably less alright. Keep everyone safe!

Team Three

The thing with sieges is, some things still need to happen. People still need to eat. Babies need fed and looked after. Animals need tended. Try and help with the logistics of everything in the heart of the village, as far away from the fighting as possible.

"Already dead?" she asked, arching a brow. "Leaves me wondering," she said as she casually tossed the glass with the snake towards the distant goblins, using Bending to make it sail further than it should have, "what it would take to kill you somewhat more permanently.

"You know that we just wake up in suitcases, right?"

Beetlejuice might be talking from personal experience, while giving the glass and snake a little boomerang-effect to come sailing right back.

"Speaking of death on a train, wanna make people think the train ran over someone at the next stop? Reactions would pretty gr--ea-t."

She used Bending to deflect the cup and raised her bow driving an arrow through it mid flight. "Why exactly do you think that I wish to plot anything with you?" Because this would be a NO, not that she would ever admit why.

"Because you find creatures in pain to be amusing. Seems like the sorta thing a demon-buddy would do."

"I am not your demon buddy, find someone else to haunt before I turn that amusement to finding ways to make you suffer instead."

Beetlejuice rolled his eyes.

"Again, you're just making yourself more interesting to the evil crowd. You want to dissuade a demon, you go skip in a meadow, pick flowers or something."

"You are not worth changing who I am for."

[creepyoldguy]

"Look, depressing lady, you're the one trying to make people leave you alone. I'm giving you helpful advice. If you want a demon to leave you alone, you don't threaten him with violence and delight in the suffering of others."

"I did not ask for your advice, nor do I require it."

Me, you're going to find a goblin in your bunk.

"Fine, fine, I'll quit being nice."

It would be dead fairly swiftly and then he would find a dead goblin in his. So?

"I was unaware that you had started."

[creepyoldguy]

It’d be dead already. He’s not going to put forth the effort to get a live one.

“I’m a demon. It can be hard to tell.”

Ah. Dismembered, then. Possibly messily gutted all over his pillow.

"Clearly. Are you quite done?"

[creepyoldguy]

“Nah. I’m clearly annoying you, and entertainment is hard to come by.”

Other than the kids. The kids at least knew how to have fun. The fact he'd become a sort of bad-influence-uncle had definitely fed his ego.

“So, What’s your name?"

"I cannot see how it could be when you are clearly so easily amused."

"That's the point. I bore easily."

A beat.

"I think I'll call you...:Ice Queen."

[memories_of_me]

"Do you know the only good thing about being called?" she asked, voice chilly enough to live up to the moniker. "It happens when someone is far away.:"

Me would find herself wearing an Elsa themed tiara, playing Let it Go in tinny tones when it was touched, only to get louder when damaged, and a beautiful crescendo when destroyed, before falling silent.

"Queenie, you are way too easily moved."

[memories_of_me]

"Actually, it was you I was planning to move... somewhere far from me." If she noticed the tiara, she gave no sign.

“Good luck.”

She smirked. "Oh luck is rarely needed in cases such as yours."

[creepyoldguy]

“Sorry, sweetheart, you’re not my type.”

"You cannot be stupid enough to think that in anyway I am upset about that?"

[creepyoldguy]

Have a flirtatious eyebrow waggle.

Okay, so, he lied. His standards are pretty abysmal. Still, it’s an odd mix of trolling and flirting. If annoys her? Great! If she’s into dead guys? Great!

Beetlejuice is also the son of a much nastier demon, so, he’s teleported himself to a new spot to gauge her reaction. He’s not actively stupid.

She rolled her eyes at him and went back to the goblins, bringing up her bow again. And then with a hint of a smirk she focused on the arrow tip and shot an arrow of Unmaking at one of the goblins. Sorry, Link, but she does enjoy those.
