He is literally a farm boy. This is right up his alley. He will gladly help farmers with their animals and will be (secretly) delighted to help with the dralites, though he won't be delighted by the screeching effects. He might end up dreaming himself some earmuffs to prevent that shit from happening.

He'll also be pretty open to helping give pointers to other people who aren't farm types themselves, in how to herd animals and just deal with animals in general.

The herb collecting he might grumble about but he'll still help because he's a good guy underneath the prickly exterior.
