enemy unknown: interview processing and sharing session!

Voidtreckers!

This is a call out ahead of a log going up for Nebula 25th or 26th for interviewed characters to share what they were asked and get support from fellow Voidtreckers! And for all characters to process being conned into a mission response, recaught by train or left to solve puzzles while some were interrogated by two investigators from the Void Ministry.

Respond to the comment below for interview characters to state how much they'd share, so the log can focus on specific aspects of interviews, puzzle solving, and processing on all sides. This also allows for more of a sense of what anyone who shows up can/will know, beyond what people such as Elidibus and Murderbot are already working on!

Thank you, everyone!

Character Name: Jake Peralta
Day Abducted: 1
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Jake recounts this fairly truthfully. He's already accustomed to taking the heat for having been honest about Enrara...but if asked, he'll say he's a detective, and he thinks he knows how to get detectives to start trusting you. (This is woefully naive, Jake.)

Noteworthy Comments: He believes the ministry's afraid of the world erasing chaos blobs spreading. If they have a common enemy, the ministry will stop fighting them, right?

...Right?

Character Name: Elidibus
Day Abducted: 3
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Elidibus gives a clear and concise layout of his interview and the details provided or spoken of. If someone really asks about his age he'll just repeat that he mentioned he was immortal but otherwise details like that won't be considered relevant. But he will provide a detailed account of his interview.

Noteworthy Comments: Elidibus won't flee from the snide implication Jingyi makes regarding his knowledge. He'll be present at the meeting and available to be approached by anyone who wants to question what Jingyi meant OR has Words after Jingyi explains what he meant. There will be a thread for this and it will be in chain style. I will probably steal the 'ROUND' format used for boss things if it gets meaty for this initial confrontation. After all there's 18 potential complaintants at base, much less anyone else that might rise umbrage!

If people want to approach him post-meeting or in private messages, then by all means we can work something out!

Since Jingyi obligingly gave permission, he will be willing to detail what was in Jingyi's log but it's pretty much the same as what Jingyi presented. He will NOT make what others' had in their interviews available publicly so please see their individual threads for their details.

CW for complaints about his methods: While Elidibus will admit he did this, he is not going to be apologetic and will take a stance against outright defamation. While he won't go into details about the specifics of any ONE person's interview, he may very well used generalized statements regarding their content if people get too hard on him about his tactics. So CW for little remorse and barbed words that he's really really good at.

Character Name: Tidus
Day Abducted: 2
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Tidus remembers the gist of what he spoke about with the interviewers, mainly having a decent experience for what it was, in his experience. He won't lie about what came up, but there are a few things he may be reluctant to get into.

Noteworthy Comments: jingyi and elidibus

While Tidus comes off as more favourable towards the Ministry since he isn't as annoyed about their tactics with the fake mission, he does think there's reason to be cautious about them. Believes that one way or another, they have to deal with the Ministry's presence - but even if they agree or disagree with how the Ministry pulled off meeting them, what matters is what they do next. If they can create communication with them, then he thinks it would be worth it until it isn't.

Either that, or bugging the train more into helping them find outside allies and ways they can figure out what's going on and how to protect themselves. But they need some form of stable outside help.

He maaaay or may not also a way of the Ministry contacting him, but he may avoid bringing this up during the meeting. If he does have it however, I'd be down for him picking a select group to know about it from different teams. But it also may be useless!! Or not exist! But he also can't keep his ears open for it alone, so having more people know about it would be good.

Character Name: Ansem
Day Abducted: 1
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Pretty accurate, though not overly detailed! He won't go in to the intimidation tactics seeing as others are using it, but he'll point out that they accommodated basic requests - during the interview itself - eg, him asking for water (to test the waters, ha ha) and appeared to make gestures of support in regards to the entity's - Chaos's? - impact upon them.

Noteworthy Comments: Ansem will be Logical and Patient about this and suggest that jumping to conclusions re; them being Hostile as opposed to...Misguided isn't necessarily the best choice of action. He's clearly not happy about what happened, but he does seem cautiously optimistic of 'we can work with this'.

Character Name: Inigo
Day Abducted: 1
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Inigo will be honest about the entire interview, though if he is one of the later characters to talk about it, he will skip the things others already mentioned to get to the part he's actually excited about sharing: that he gave them a system number of a person who left the train, so they can look into whether people who leave the train actually go home or not. He will not mention whose number he gave them, though there's a possibility he might when prodded.

Noteworthy Comments: Inigo seems relatively in favour of these people, though if asked he will point out it's mostly because so far it's pretty much their only hope of getting anything done. It's not like the train has done anything to help them find the people who left, after all. It's a topic he will get pretty emotional about when pushed in the wrong ways, so be gentle.. or not...

Character Name: Ken Amada (AU)
Day Abducted: 2
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Ken will be mostly accurate in general of what he said, and won't be too cagey about things.

Noteworthy Comments: He'll get huffy if anyone says he revealed too much. He's of the opinion that they already know a lot of this stuff and are just verifying things. That's how it came off to him, at least.

Character Name: Masumi Sera
Day Abducted: 2
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Masumi explains what happened fairly accurately, making specific note of the fact that she was asked about voidsickness right after saying what happened to Enrara. She'll be very annoyed with the whole interview, and will regret saying as much as she did.

Noteworthy Comments: Again, she'll note the question about voidsickness, along with the questioning about who Anan is and her general annoyance about the use of what she sees as emotional manipulation to keep her calm. She's not really fond of their use of calming powers during a surprise interview.

Character Name: Rich Goranski
Day Abducted: 2
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Rich will give as many details as he can, though he's most focused on the fact that this was for an investigation into the train's wrong doing, and he seems to have the impression that they might have intended to send people home if a crime had been committed. He mentions that they were particularly interested in the worlds with illusions, and with Diagad, though he gets annoyed that they seem to think that he's mentally unstable because of this.

Noteworthy Comments: Rich is probably more trusting of the Ministry than others, out of some hope that something might get him out of this mess and get them back home. Being sent back to the train with no mention of the findings of the investigation does annoy him in particular, and might contribute to him looking kind of miserable by the end of his re-telling.

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: Freeza reports everything that was said and asked in the thread accurately, up to and admitting that they seemed quite confused everytime he made reference to having dealt with interdimensional travel and supposed "higher ups" poking their noses in.

Noteworthy Comments: Freeza's view is that he has seen teamleads on this ship and adheres to what he agreed to, based on that. New unidentified people claiming to be up the chain he has had no prior dealings with or even heard about? Prepare for a lot of confusing and needlessly difficult answers. Get ready to be treated like the help.

[personal profile] dyingpro 2021-10-29 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Character Name: Zagreus, son of Hades
Day Abducted: 3
Link to Interview Thread: Interview found here!

Summary of Interview from Character's POV: He will do his best to remember Siri and Artie's Void Inspector Designations, but in the Ancient Greek alphabet C and Q don't exist, so he might mistranscribe them as Sigma and Chi, respectively. Other than that, he'll give the basic stuff, that he was interviewed and they wanted to know his take on things, and he gave them the bare minimum. If someone asks to read his mind, he'll allow it... but someone's not going to ask, are they, Elidibus? :|

Noteworthy Comments: He copied most of his interview text with his SCA's transcription function, so once they read Zag his Space Rights they can have a decent script of what happened. Furthermore, Zagreus will point out that while it says the Void Inspectors can't "intentionally" cause harm, they could always claim it was an accident if harm truly does befall them. He knows the loopholes in rules that can be exploited from his work in his Father's domain. Basically, he'll warn: Don't trust them to play nice if we don't play nice.
