Enemy Unknown OOC Information and Sign Ups
On day 21 of the month of Nebula their SCA's glow gold and a holographic screen appears.
RUN TIME AND TONE
OVERVIEW

A space station is System #903849 has requested void assistance. They are under attack and experiencing a systems failure. No space ships from their own system are close enough to help.
Red Team Find out where the enemies are coming from and stop them, secure any breaches to the space station.
Blue Team Find the survivers of the attack and protect them until the enemies are cleared.
Orange Team Repair the space station and get the vital systems back online.
Purple Team Clear the station of all hostiles, secure areas for survivors to be taken to.
Notes This is not a catastrophe mission. The Voidtrecker Express recognises that voidtreckers have already been out on a mission in the month of Nebula, however we appear to be the only voidcraft in range of the distress call. All parameters look normal and it is not anticipated that it will be a difficult mission for voidtreckers to complete.
RUN TIME AND TONE
The mission will run between the 13th to the 19th of October, through days 22 to 25 of Nebula. A log will go up on the 13th, with a conclusion on the 20th October.
Please note that this event has survival and horror themes. It is not going to be gory, nor is it going to have excessive violence but the general tone will be creepy exploration against an unseen threat. If you would rather not play this mission but cannot think of an IC reason why your characters would sit it out you can assume that they got recalled back to the luggage carriage by some glitch as they disembarked.
OVERVIEW

➜ OBJECTIVE.
- The goal is straightforward: get on the space station, and search for the missing staff or clues as to what happened to them. However, this will be more difficult than straight-forward. As a station used by clients from different parts of the void, it has a fussy security system that prevents any damage done to its structure. On top of this, powers cannot be accessed except for in specific areas. Everyone will have baseline human strength and capabilities, no matter their biology.
Note: Though powers cannot be accessed, those characters who are magic/require magic to live will not feel any adverse affects. There will be parts of the mission where powers do work and these will be clear on the event log.
Why is this important, exactly? It means you have to suffer finding a way to get through sections of a station you don't have access to, in an emergency state. ...while something unseen seems to be on the search for Voidtreckers.
On top of all of this it is clear from arrival that something is strange here. Those looking for survivors will find no sign of them but they will also find no bodies or any sign that there was a fight here.
The mission log will cover three days, though the mission itself will run for four. This is because the conclusion log will cover the fourth.
➜ SCAs.
- Taking off your SCAs during this mission will bring no harm, and individuals will be able to understand each other without it. However, keeping one's SCA off will make individuals unable to locate threats around the station.
Voidtreckers will find that certain parts of their SCA do not work as well as usual. Their map does not show the whole space station, but will only show as they move through, creating a map as they go. For those that try it evacuating back to the train does not work.
➜ ENEMY UNKNOWN.
- There are two types of entities voidtreckers will meet as they explore the space station.
Surveillance Bots
- Creepy spidery-looking bots. If they spot the voidtreckers they will make a lot of noise, beeping warning sounds or commanding them to take shelter. They can be silenced by following their commands, or by obtaining a certain level of access to the station. This will be a priority, as...
- The other monsters in the space station are completely invisible. They attack with blasts that work like tasers, causing pain and stunning characters, but not injuring or killing them. The blasts can be seen, which might be the only way of getting enough of a sense of them to fight them. However...
When these monsters are close their SCA warns them, using the warning system. It beeps directly into their earpiece as to not make external noise which will attract the monsters. (For Deaf characters - their SCA's will vibrate in warning on their wrist.) The more frequent the beeping, the closer the monsters.
The monsters seem to hunt by sound, so keeping as quiet as possible and sneaking past them will be better than a straight out fight. Though, they can be killed with enough violence.
➜ SIGN-UPS.
- Unseen enemies and an eerie abandoned space station are not the only thing that the voidtreckers will have to contend with. Over the course of three days they will find that some of their own number disappear.
There will be sign-ups for the disappearances. This isn't a simple 'disappear and sit out' scenario. While your character will not be able to engage in the main log after they disappear, they will be involved in interactions outside of the main log.
This will include an NPC thread as well as the opportunity to thread with other disappeared characters. The form is below, it will be chosen by RNG and we will let you know what day your character disappears on before the log starts! Sign ups will be open until 11th October. In signing up we ask that you feel you will be able to tag throughout the week of the event- boomeranging will not be required, but tagging regularly throughout the week will be!
➜ DISAPPEARANCES?
- As people disappear, no one will be able to reach them by SCA, but their names will not be in gold. The call will keep trying to connect but never go through, no matter how long it's kept up. However, by the second day, characters will be able to find some possible sign of where they might be, by a map that shows where people are. Dots will show life forms, and more appear in a certain location as Voidtreckers disappear.
It also catches flickers of other lifeforms, but seems unable to keep a steady track on them.
➜ TRICK OR TREAT?
- True to any survival horror experience, this mission will largely involve investigating to find your way through. Documents relevant and not, passcodes, solving puzzles - these are needed to get anywhere. However, you're as likely to find danger as you are relief.
Sign up for a Trick or Treat? to have your character find delights and box pushing tasks. And possibly boobytraps. We will ask for your character's strengths in investigating, and also weaknesses, to make it fair for those who love to snoop. Each character may apply for one Trick or Treat per day they are on the mission, though there is nothing stopping them being with other characters as they investigate and find things out!
Re: Trick or Treat?

Tends to keep his full findings to himself.
Woeful lack of self-concern in regards to death. Immortality things. :(
Can they fit through child-sized holes and/or medium ventilation shafts?: Childsized holes: Not without a childsize body (see question!). Medium Vent Shafts: Yup!

Re: Day 1 TRICK
Don't need much, just a one line prompt about what the show is and what type of fanfiction was present. I can do the rest. +_+d Unless there is more!
Re: Day 1 TRICK
Day 2 TREAT
Most is very dry, numbers, bearings, fuel levels. Nearer the end there are more interesting entries- signs of breach, emergency signals being triggered. It mentions access entry 32 and if Elidibus goes on a journey to find this door he will find a broken blast door, one of the few signs of a fight in this whole place.
Re: Day 2 TREAT
1. Would the entries related to the breach/signals and entry 32 match be dated/timed and if so would what timeframe would they have been in compared to what the station's current time is. (he will look for station time/date if needed).
1a. If the files in question were written, does the writing seem different in style or 'newer' than the last sundry entries (looking for intentional setup information or if this seems to be a natural occurence of the station's timeline).
2. At the blast door: Is there any signs that the damage/breach are relatively recent or OLD (say older or even NEWER than the log suggests). Or is it new as in definitely could be connected to the current situation? (this would also include looking for signs of weapons discharge/use)
Will send more once interest is picked up! If it is! Elidibus will be looking for folk that are more familiar with spacestation structures. Since he can't just cheat with his powers right now. c: But he would try the above himself while waiting/making his way over.
Re: Day 2 TREAT
1a) All the files are written in the same style.
2) It is new in the way that it can be said to connected to the current situation.

Would there be any signs of death around the blast doors? (No blood or anything, everyone got taken alive or ran?)
no subject
There's no sign of death around the blast doors, no blood or anything.
Day 3 TRICK
They repeat, beeping loudly. His SCA will begin to beep as well, it seems they have attracted some of the invisible monsters...
