Since Essek has fought under pretty bad mental duress before (what would be active mental torture in the middle of a battle, which caused him to be slowed) would it be okay to have Essek kind of attempt to repress a lot of what happened and participate and cast spells in a lot of the final day but at like half capacity because his brain is very not okay? I am super cool with it being like... when someone keeps stubbornly walking on an injury and making it worse kind of thing.
