"Hm. ... That seems so small..."

He takes the pencil and draws a small circle in the middle. "This is the Material Plane. Where, ah.. there is the sort of things you would expect - mountains, lakes, settlements large and small from various races." He draws a fainter circle around the first and bisects it. "These two are 'reflections' of the Material Plane - the Feywild tends to be brighter and more chaotic, the Shdowfell is more of a plane of negative energy."

He draws five circles touching the inner circle. "The Inner Planes are the elemental planes of Earth, Fire, Air, Water, and Ice. The further you get from the Material Plane the more it is simply a pure expression of that element." Another circle over the Material Plane. "This is one of the Transitive Planes, the Ethereal Plane. Some spells can take you through it - you can still see the Material Plane, but cannot interact with it." He draws a larger circle around all of that and labels the Astral Plane in between it. "And the Astral Plane we have discussed."

One thing before he continues. He makes the line around the Material Plane thicker. "This is the Divine Gate - it prevents the gods from physically crossing over. There was a Calamity, involving fights between the Prime Deities and the Betrayer Gods. To prevent further destruction they left the Material Plane an constructed this barrier in an event known as the Divergence."

Back to circles. He draws nine circles around the inner edge of the large circle. "These are the realms of the gods. I won't go into detail about them, it does not really matter. Sometimes worshipers of the gods end up there, if the gods desire it. Or... other beings, such as demons or devils." One last thing. He labels the outside of the larger circle with 'the Far Realm'. "And this place is... largely unknown. Efforts to explore it have often ended up with mages having mental breakdowns, sometimes permanently."
