Kerry doesn't like the idea of being left alone to stand guard. He's not a fighter and can't really defend himself outside of trying to talk down whoever is attacking him. He felt safer with a giant woman in armor nearby.

But, it makes sense for him to compose while she tracks down more information. He does his best work alone and she's probably much better at investigating.

He had once told himself that he'd learn to take care of himself. Even more so after someone who had promised to protect him ended up abandoning him instead.

"I think it makes more sense for you to keep lookin' and I'll stay right here. I can work out a melody and most of the lyrics with the info we have now."
