That gets almost a smile out of Charlie. She's really not the most emotive person, but an almost smile is better than nothing.

"I'm not from somewhere like that," Charlie admits, keeping herself in a crouch.

"The super smart people have been, in my experience, the ones causing all of the bad things that happen. Or at least, a lot of them. And I might be the only person with any kind of powers back home."

Which is bad, Peter. So bad.
