They are conductive to magic and if someone uses them a lot they will find that channeling spells down the blade makes those spells a little more powerful (as long as the magic they are using is destructive in nature)

Using healing magic whilst in possession of a dagger is difficult too- not at first but the more they are used the harder it becomes to heal whilst carrying the dagger.
