Lea got a Black Coat for Taiki in hopes that it will make things a bit easier for him on missions, so he'll be giving him that shortly after the next platform. Will leave it up to you as to whether/how much it helps (and if Lea's request that it reappear post transformation actually works), but Lea will also casually mention that Taiki is his friend for the first time during the conversation surrounding the gift giving.
