Goose has definitely been thought of as worse than a silly cat. She'll take it.

When Little One moves herself over to the counter area, Goose follows. If winding around her ankles is distracting to the girl (and she certainly doesn't want to distract her while she's holding a knife in case she hurts herself) then she will find another way to be close. She does this by hopping up onto the counter, well out of the way of the chopping area, and settling herself into a comfortable sprawl on top of what appears to be a large tin of crackers, observing. See? She can behave.
