Hungry is subjective. Goose can always eat. Literally. Her body doesn't exactly conform to most normally accepted space/time restrictions. If feeding her will keep the little girl from staring into a literal void, though, then that's not a bad way to deal with things. So, sure, why not? She's hungry.
