But it was that last line that caused Gerome to stop being so ridiculous and take notice.

He said it again as he reached out, grabbed the front of Inigo's shirt and yanked him up to his feet. "... You are such an idiot." And a third time... just before he yanked his childhood friend into his arms and a near crushing hug. Gerome was... maybe not the best for hugs. He felt he was awkward, he felt he was doing it wrong, but he wrapped his arms around Ingio as best he could because he knew that these were the kinds of things that Inigo seemed to respond to most.
"... You are a fool." He hissed into the others ear, sounding pretty damn annoyed now. "... And that man is lucky he left." Because if he could get his hands on him... Gerome couldn't remember ever being as angry for someone else as he was now. How dare this Yuki hurt Inigo? How dare he make him love him only to walk away from him, avoid and leave him? "... You are a fool to believe you do not deserve to... to be loved. If anyone does. It is people like you." It wasn't the easiest of things for him to say, and yes he still sounded angry, but somehow the anger helped him to say this things.
