Curufin, being an Elf of the First Age of Arda, was never taught theatre manners. And in the three other worlds he's lived in since he left his own, there wasn't the opportunity. The few movies he's seen have been in somebody's living room, where plenty of alcohol was served, humor and sarcasm were valued, and nobody expected manners.

"The plot is a bit much, and so are the characters," agrees Curufin. "The songs are downright silly." His tone of voice suggests that this is not entirely negative criticism. In fact, he's collecting ideas and information for the next time he writes a silly limerick himself.

"Oh, by the way, I'm Curufin Fëanorion. I've been on the Voidtrecker for eight months. I haven't seen you before, so you must be new."
