"Nah, I've got this, I've just. I've gotta pull myself together." He couldn't just stop himself from being afraid of heights, though. "I can do this." If he said it outloud, maybe he would start believing it. He didn't think exposing himself to heights, like he was now, was going to do anything to help, but if he could get through this...that was the important part.

"People need help. I can help. So I just-" he made another vague gesture. If he could avoid falling, he had nothing to worry about.

Taking a deep breath, he straightened up. "If I do die though, uh...don't tell anyone I was hugging trees."
