Curufin wasn't a mortal, but he considered that Elves and mortals were simply variations on the human theme. Still, his world was very different than the worlds of many other train inhabitants, and not everyone thought the same on this issue.
He hacked and stabbed at the first creatures to attack him. but there were so many of them. Suddenly, the ones behind him shrieked and fell off the platform, blasted by Sonya's energy weapons.
"Thanks!" he shouted, turning to see her there. He dispatched the remaining monsters and then leaped off the platform onto the jungle floor. He grinned. "I'm Curufin. You're new? Funny, the train didn't give us time to mingle before it sent us off on this mission."
