Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.

I walked through the barrier. Where else would I be going? It doesn't matter though, because I'm back here.

[She shakes her head.] Ede-san, Curufin-san and I are co-leaders. Reigen-san is Council member.

We've haven't had anyone come back but Evie and Ash. Ash remembered being here before but neither remembered leaving. This is the first I've heard of anyone being aware of their surroundings. You've seen those leaving. They look like they're in a trance. Did you feel anything like that?

{He frowns, confused.]

Who's Ede-san?

[He didn't care as much about the team leaders. It wasn't that he saw them as less important but he viewed it more as the team's decision. This question was just because he wasn't familiar with the name.]

Would you know if you were in a trance? I know what know and that's I was going home. [It's half snapped, but then she sighs and shakes her head, as if dismissing the topic.

[His jaw tightens when she snaps at him. He wasn't going to answer that, so it was good to just move on from it.

However his expression changes quickly from irritated to disbelief.]

Charlotte? You want Charlotte to be a team lead?

[He shook his head and sighed.]

Very well. Is there anything you need from me?

[Eva grins and bobs her head.]

Not right now, but- I know what I'm doing with her. She's young yes, yet she has potential, as does Curufin-san and Reigen-san. It's likely a cultural thing, but to ignore it isn't right.

[Even if- She ruthlessly shoves that down because she's better than that, no matter how galling it is. Men or not, they have the potential and she will see it through.]

[If she's referring to his overly male council and team leads, it's gone unnoticed on his side. Although she might be referring to their never-ending debate over children vs adults being capable of things.]

[He paused before asking something else. He was less comfortable even admitting he was concerned about this but..]

Did Princess make it back with you?

[Don't think she hasn't noticed the mostly male council, Tony. She's just not sure how to bring it up without stepping on cultural toes. Or seeming sexist.

You made Charlotte a team lead because she's a girl?

Typically I promote people who are already leaders to leadership positions and junior or training roles to those with potential.

[There's a bit of a raised eyebrow before Eva huffs.]

I'm going to assume world differences and that on Earth, leadership is by and large defined as something different to what it is on Arkea.

I highly doubt that. It's more likely you and I approach it differently, not our worlds, but believe what you will.
