Feanor had a very precise idea about exactly what he was looking for in the luggage department. The matter of if he'll be able to find it there was another thing altogether. What he wasn’t expecting in usually rather orderly arranged space was a veritable tower of suitcases wobbling with every shake of the moving train.
“Which one of you idiots thought it was such a brilliant idea?!”
There’s a very loud “Oh shit!” when the tower finally loses its battle with gravity and all the baggage comes raining down. Just where he’s standing. Hallowed speech of the Blessed Realm does not have many curses appropriate for such a situation. Fortunately, the former King of Noldor is a very fast learner, he picked up a lot of foreign ones and is currently putting that knowledge to good use.
Somebody help him get out.
Scavenger Hunt (Team Two)
To say that the ship is in bad condition is to say nothing at all. The thermal shields on the one side of the ship are charred and half melted. How did he know they were thermal shields? Dark, square, ceramic tiles covering all external surfaces of the vessel? What else they could be? Also being labeled as such in the ship's manual probably contributed to his understanding too. The pilot wasn’t much help being, well, a pilot not a mechanic but at least was able to provide documentation for that thing.
“Hey, hold the flashlight for me, I need to check how bad it’s on the bottom of this wreck.”
Any doubts he knows what he’s doing? It’s a machine for the love of Eru. Nothing he cannot take apart and put back together given a couple of hours.
A picnic with a view
Feanor found himself a place to sit not far from the edge of the cliff so he could have a good view of the glimmering sea of colour below him. If could get a hold of at least a piece of this crystal…. That would require going down there to fetch it. Which is not a course of action he wants to pursue right now. Not after time like they just had. What kind of twisted imagination brought those monstrosities to life anyway? He had his share of horrors to fight in the past but those things here were no horrors. They were just ... disgusting. Could it be the reason why he’s not eating now even if the food looks delicious? Or is it that his mind is completely elsewhere? Definitely not on a mundane reality of getting a meal.
Maybe he could only get one of the villagers to bring him a small sample...
