Bruce goes a little out of his way to crush a few of the rebooting rats before he reaches the jumbled pile of shattered concrete he'd spotted before.

"What's that?" He glances back and shakes his head. "Who basically sets off a sonic cannon near someone and doesn't give a warning if they can?"

He wrenches a length of rebar free of the pile and jams it into the ground at his side like a fence post. "I try not to be a jerk. Are you okay?"
