That wasn't true. Nanaki had plenty of animal instincts. He liked a good hunt every now and again to satiate the predatory instincts. Big cats just did not chase after small prey. It was also true though that he had to curb some instincts since his intellectual mind warred with his animal side. Humans would always see him as a wild animal, but his mind worked as sharp as theirs. Sometimes life could be cruel without physical pain.

Nanaki tilted his head in curiosity. "You change species?" A shapeshifter was very unusual. His tail flicked. "I wonder what that is like."
