Ah yes, not everyone has one of those. "...An.. ability of mine." One that can function fairly independently but won't be able to fight without Dio nearby. A sacrifice he was willing to make, as all he really needed was the information. Fighting could wait.

Oh good he was right on his estimation. Dio looks rather pleased for a moment, though it's controlled back to neutrality quickly. This isn't the sort of location to be smirking about, not with mayhem going on that he for once isn't really all that involved in.

"'Ki' then." Lasers. "A very useful ability. If you are willing to put it to use, to see if these creatures might be gathered in numbers away from the village, or some ... unusual source of energy, perhaps.."

Then maybe they can locate a potential rest of the army, or its leaders! Or both! And frankly, Dio's pretty sure at that point he could get Piccolo to just laser them from the air.

Dealing with the Joestars would have been so much easier with long distance laser powers..
