The Doctor listens carefully to her tale, his expression becoming more and more perplexed as she goes on. That... doesn't sound like Rose. Not the Rose he knew. He took care to choose only the best when picking his companions. Part of him wishes he could talk to Rose-ask her questions to try work out what would cause her to act in such a way. Never mind, that's a mystery for another day.

"Blimey, all that is making even my head spin." He says with just a touch of humor in his voice. "Okay, I don't really know where to start-but I'll start with this-My other faces-other versions. Are me. I'm all the doctor- Nine, Ten, Two or One. All me. But you and River already know that-even Rose would know that. She's seen a regeneration cycle." He explains.

"But-But! And this is very important. I won't take kindly to anyone passing insults at my companions-past or present. And I won't put up with my companions throwing insults at each other either. Right now, I'm grouping you into that category-so if-and that is a very big if-Rose were to turn up I wouldn't want either of you starting fights. That's not what I stand for-that's never what I stand for."
