He thinks about this for a moment, turning to look at BD-1 who is staring intently at the pile. Even the Droid is curious and he hops off of Cal's shoulder, inching over but staying a safe distance away.
If he were to get too close, the device would start blasting Baby Shark. In Simlish. With a bad beat drop, annoying voices and a tendency to restart at random.
Cal doesn't need to know what Baby Shark is. Or Simlish. He'll wonder what's wrong with that particular universe.
He crouches to watch his Droid for a moment. "What do you think, BD? Think there's anything useful?"
A bleep that sounds like a verbal shrug, followed by a few more trills and beeps and Cal nods. He understood it. He looks up at Renee, almost smiling.
