Najaran was doing what she usually did on the train. She was hunting for food. The cars were all in a line and yet she always seemed to misplace the kitchen car. She was also at a loss, still not used to her empty hand, to the quiet that came from being alone in a way she hadn't since she'd been a small child. Unusually melancholy she drew out her deck of cards. Not as many as she usually had. "At least some of you are still with me," she whispered to the cards, unaware anyone else was there.

She didn't seem like the sort of person who should be on the frontlines. She looked to be about fourteen or so, wearing an elaborate purple and gold dress, seeming to be armed only with a deck of odd looking cards. She was heading right for the frontlines, seemingly alone and unarmed, chin held high.
